Short video presentation of The Open Shoes project (in spanish).
We continue advancing. Now we have printed a prototype of the midsole, with a density of 20%, and using the same material as in the previous test (Filaflex of Recreus). The results have improved somewhat, but we still have to solve some design problems, for better expansion upon the tread and prevent open pores that, if wet, would make sponge effect.
As in the above, we performed the test in Bilbao Makers, with the collaboration of Ivan, Jesús, Borja and Karim. The assembly Video has been made by Sergio Lopez.
We have made a print test of a prototype of the midsole with a material called Filaflex, developed by the company Recreus, from Elda (Spain). The results have been quite encouraging for our objectives, because the material looks like it will react well to our needs. However, we need further testing with different densities and implementing some other characteristic.
Little by little we are working in all fields, one of them to improve the web. In this sense, one of the spots to those we wanted to give importance is the FAQ. To do this, and after trying several plugins, but none of them convinced us, Beñat Bustamante has developed a specific plugin, with the name of BBWP FAQ.
With the concept of open source, like everything else in this project, the plugin is available for free on the official wordpress plugins repository for any other page that will have a similar need. Currently has instructions in Spanish, English and Basque.
You can also find more information at the plugin page.
