When exhausted salts of an event, but do not smile erased from the face, that is a sign that your expectations have not only been met, but have been overcome. That’s what has happened to The Open Shoes in this year’s Sónar in Barcelona.
A music, creativity and technology festival which in three days more than 115,000 people from 101 countries have passed is very important and without comparison. And get that our project has been officially recognized as the best startup of 3D technology is something that surpasses all our expectations.
Our presence at Sonar was for the team The Open Shoes something special. Only thirty startups around the world had been selected to participate in the Sonar +D section, in the Startup Garden sponsored by Ricoh. But the most pleasant surprise came late on Friday, when we were asked to go to the awards ceremony and we could hear our name. The special prize, awarded by Ricoh to the best 3D tech startup would stop at The Open Shoes. Ears, symbol of the festival, plaque and, of course, the Leapfrog Creatr HS printer, which distributes Ricoh are the symbolic and material parts of the prize. But the inner satisfaction with the recognition that comes is something that can not be seen from outside, but we have brought deep inside from Barcelona.
And all this must be added to the many visitors to our stand (including the mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau, who became interested in the project) meetings with mentors and investors of different groups of companies and individuals… and great assistance provided by the team of Ricoh and the organization of the Sonar +D, which they have facilitated our stay and they have made it easier.
